What we build
Readable captions, word lookup within the video, and saved vocabulary reviewed with its original sentence. The extension mainly supports regular YouTube watch pages in Chrome / Chromium. The mobile website is for vocabulary review; it does not inject bilingual captions into mobile YouTube.
Who maintains the product and content
The EnglishCC team develops the product and maintains website guides and feature descriptions. Guides use current implementation and verifiable official sources. Report inaccurate, outdated or incompatible instructions through our contact address. We do not claim unverified teaching credentials or research achievements.
Data and functional boundaries
Local lookup, saving and review work without signing in. Optional Google sign-in synchronizes vocabulary records and review progress. Display preferences and watch statistics remain local. Read our privacy policy for account and data details. Caption translation and listening controls depend on caption quality and available timing.
